Celebrating Valentines Day. We do 10 days of Valentines and get something each day. The gift starts with the letter of the day from the word "Valentine." So for V, Mom got V8 fruit juice (yes, we give each other food for gifts in my family of origin and Evan thinks it is the weirdest thing ever), Evan got Vegetable seeds for the garden, A and J got a VegiTales movie. It was a super fun Valentines this year. These pics below, the kids got stuff for their "I"magination.
We usually don't go out with the masses for a Valentines Dinner. I made the kids heart shaped pancakes for dinner and sent them to bed early:) Then made a nice dinner for Evan. It was so nice to eat at home uninterrupted!
And of course we celebrated Groundhog Day! 6 more weeks of winter unfortunately. I had the play school group over the week of Groundhog day and we made these groundhogs that pop out of the burrow. The kids loved learning about shadows. Aleah still walks around singing "Groundhog, Groundhog, what do you see? Groundhog, Groundhog, please tell me!"
These are my first rice krispy groudhogs so there is room for improvement. But the kids loved them. We took the big one to work at Evan's new store (he just transferred to the Spanish Fork new Verizon and loves it) and he couldn't even tell what it was! He asked "why are you bringing me a bunny?" Hahahaha.

It sounds like you are having tons of fun. I love that you celebrate even the small holidays. Your kids are so adorable! I'm very impressed with your rice crispy groundhogs. Doesn't Evan know that bunnies have Long ears?;)
Cute lil' groundhogs! Sounds like a fun month.
Nice, Kristel. An Update, Finally. :)
