Aleah at 14.5 Months

While at work on Tuesday, I got this picture text from Evan:

With the caption: "Aleah's first chips and salsa." My reply: "You gave her her own bowl of salsa???!!!"

Next pic text from Evan:

with the caption "First and Last time."

And you know the best part about it...... Evan had to clean it up! Lol!

My mom came over yesterday and made a comment about Aleah's energy level being just like Evan's. My sister in law, Anyi, soon after said Aleah has my stubborness and independence. So.... I'm not so sure those are the best combinations! Our daughter is WILD! She climbs everything. Mimics us in any way she can. Wants to do everything herself. If we give her food, she throws it to the floor. But if she can take the food herself, she will eat it. Same with drinks.
When we say "no", she laughs. By simple observation, she has learned how to operate the dvd player, manipulate the heat on the stove, unlock the "child proof" safety locks, blow her nose, call Evan on his cell phone, operate door keys, scribble on paper, use the computer mouse, peel off the tape keeping the desk drawers shut and pick out the shoes she wants to wear. At 14 months! What on earth are we going to do when she's 2?! Or 12?! But truth be known, we love it. We adore her. And we feel so proud of her accomplishments. Now..... if only we could keep up with her!

LOL! I love the pictures - good job Mr. Mom - and am amazed by all the things she's doing already!

It sounds like Aleah needs to wear my nephew's t-shirt:
"My parents are exhausted."

Ok the salsa thing was hilarious. Ha ha Ev. Now he'll know better. Evan was a crazy kid so you can blame her wildness on him because I know it first-hand.
