Happy Birthday Joshua!

My baby boy turned one on November 2nd! Really! Of course, like every mother says, this year has gone by too fast. Though I'm excited for all his new developments, I'm slightly grieving. In case you can't tell, the cake I made him was a train. It's so much fun to make birthday cakes for the kiddos. That decorating class was a good way to spend 25 bucks!

Joshua loves all his new toys, especially his Toy Story car/bike. He is still as fun loving and cuddly and easy going as ever. He adores his mama :) He can take several steps, though still a little on the shaky side. Aleah tries to help him walk and they just look stinkin' adorable trying to walk together. Joshua is starting to pick up on the verbal skills. He says "mama", "dada", "uh-oh", "mm-ahhh" and "arigabamboo" of course. :) He's also starting to pick up on some signs. We LOVE signing times, the series. If anyone needs gift ideas for us, this is a definite one! We have the first two volumes and the kids are hooked.

Okay, one more cute thing about Joshua. When he goes to sleep, he takes his blanket (a blue dinosaur one), grabs one of the corners in one hand and pulls it close to his face, sticks his thumb from the other hand in his mouth and falls asleep. Just that simply. Just that darling. Take blanky and the thumb away, there is no peace. Ahhh, we adore him. Happy birthday sweet boy.
